Dr. Kalpesh Patel, M.D.
Dr. Patel strongly believes that every patient deserves the best quality of medical care that is available today. One comment that Dr. Kalpesh Patel’s patients voice frequently is that they have never been treated by a doctor who pays such attention to detail. Whether it is the amount of time he takes in getting to know a patient’s concerns or the highly individualized approach he takes to treating his patients, Dr. Kalpesh Patel is a physician that truly goes above and beyond to make his patients’ needs his top priority.
Dr. Kalpesh Patel is a board-certified physician in Internal Medicine. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and went on to receive his M.D. degree from Ross University. After completing his Internal Medicine residency at West Suburban Hospital in Oak Park, Illinois, he decided to make the Western Suburbs his home. As his way of giving back, Dr. Patel precepts nurse practitioner students. Dr. Patel was also named the 2014 Physician of the Year by the nursing staff of Copley Memorial Hospital.

Dr. Patel was also named 2014 Physician of the Year by the nursing staff of Rush Copley Hospital and has received the Rush Copley Patient Quality and Safety Award.
Advanced Integrative Medicine
Advanced Integrative Medicine was started by Dr. Kalpesh Patel as part of a joint medical and dental clinic with his wife, Dr. Shefali Patel (the dentist at Ivory Dental). Their unique office offers not only the latest technologies in the health industry, but also provides a relaxing spa-like environment for patients to experience health care in the most comfortable setting possible.
“My first medical position after training was as a hospitalist. I was at that position for 2 years. I learned a great deal about helping patients with acute illness in the hospital, however, I wanted to spend more time with patients and provide a more personalized approach to healthcare. At that moment I decided to open my own private office, Advanced Integrative Medicine. This allowed me to spend more time with patients and to help optimize their health and well being. The office is warm and I purposely used earth colors to provide a relaxing environment for patients, to help ease any anxiety when seeing a healthcare provider. The office allows me to deliver healthcare in a holistic fashion, combining both functional medicine and aspects of traditional internal medicine. “ —Dr. Kalpesh Patel

Jennifer Morrison
Nurse Practitioner
Jennifer Morrison is a Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner. She received her Bachelors of Science degree at Rockford University and completed her Masters of Science degree at Northern Illinois University.
During her 17 years in the healthcare industry, Jennifer has worked with patients both in the hospital and community settings, caring for people across the entire age continuum. She has worked as a Family Nurse Practitioner for several years, in acute care settings, as well as primary care, including co-owning a primary care clinic.
And now we are pleased to announce that she is part of our office staff as our full-time nurse practitioner.
Megan Klupshas
APN-BC NURSE PRACTIONER
Megan is an Adult Nurse Practitioner who practices Internal Medicine and Primary care. She attended Northern Illinois University and received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2002. Her career began as a Registered Nurse working in inpatient Medical/Surgical, Telemetry, and Wound Care settings. She gained additional experience as MDS Coordinator in skilled care and as Charge Nurse assisting to open a hospital based Geriatric Psych unit. She completed her Master’s degree at NIU in 2011 and became board certified as an Adult Nurse Practitioner through American Nurses Credentialing Center. Her advanced practice background includes experience with Integrative Medicine, joint injections, medical weight loss, and geriatric care. Her clinical interests include managing hypertension, diabetes, and thyroid disease among many other conditions. Megan is passionate about her job. She genuinely appreciates returning patients to their optimal level of health and helping them maintain it through excellent preventative care. Megan resides in Oswego, IL. She enjoys taking road trips with her family and attending events with the Will County Parents of Multiples.
GUADALUPE nAVARRO
MSN, APRN, FNP-C
Guadalupe D. Navarro obtained her bachelors in nursing at Dominican University in 2017. Soon after graduation she was offered a job as a professional nursing tutor and then transitioned into becoming an adjunct nursing professor at the University. Her nursing background are in oncology and neurology at Hinsdale hospital. During her time at the facility she obtained the prestigious Nursing Daisy Award for extraordinary nurses due to her compassionate and caring care to patients during their stays. She then transitioned into a step down critical care floor at Rush Copley Hospital. At this facility she was nominated by her fellow colleagues as nurse of the year. She obtained her masters in nursing to become a family nurse practitioner at chamberlain university where she graduated in 2021 with distinction. Guadalupe believes in the importance of providing holistic care for excellent patient outcomes. Not to mention she is fluent in Spanish.
Yesenia
Executive office administrator
Yesenia joined the Advanced Integrative Medicine team in 2008. In the short period of time she grew to be one of the most skilled assistants Dr. Patel has ever worked with. The kindness and compassion with which she handles any patient interaction is unparalleled. Due to all these attributes, we recognized her gift and decided to expand her role in our office.
Yesenia is proficient wearing multiple hats as an Office Administrator as well as a Medical Assistant for the doctor performing blood draws, EKG tests, PT INR, and many other clinical procedures.
We are extremely fortunate for having Yesenia on our team. Whether it’s as an assistant or as an office administrator, her warm smile and dedication to patient care is something that enhances the level of treatment for all our patients.
Kim
EXECUTIVE OFFICE ADMINISTRATOR
Kim joined the team in 2008 after relocating to Plainfield from
Geneva, IL. She was a stay at home Mom to her 2 children before
re-entering the work place. After 13 years of working as a Dental
Hygienist with Ivory Dental she has transitioned to the front of the
office. Kim's care and compassion for her dental patient's has
carried over to Advanced Integrative Medicine in ensuring that
patients receive the deserved attention to their needs. In her down
time Kim loves to spend time reading, hiking, and traveling with her
husband.
Joanna
eXECUTIVE OFFICE ADMINISTRATOR
Joanna joined Advanced Integrative Medicine and Ivory Dental in 2006. Born and raised
on the northwest side of Chicago, she and her husband raised their
children in the city until moving to Plainfield in 2004. Over the
years, Joanna has enjoyed meeting many wonderful patients and helping
to coordinate their medical treatment. She feels rewarded to guide
people through all the steps of treatment. Joanna looks forward to
meeting and assisting more patients as a member of Dr. Patel’s
dedicated staff.
